RAINPOINT Water Timer for Garden Hose – 2 Zone Sprinkler Timer with Rain Delay/Manual Watering/Automatic Irrigation for Yard Lawn
$ 25.73
I just put this timer in service today and it seems to be a little ridiculous to write a review when I’ve just got this thing. But I’ll tell you what I like and what I don’t like. I was looking for an alternative to the Orbit timers. I bought two of their 2-outlet timers a short time ago and one of them has already failed. Seldom do their products last more than 2 or 3 years. I bought the Rainpoint to compare. I like the rotating dial for selecting the different programmingparameters. Programming is easy, though I am disappointed that you cannot manually run one zone and have the other zone water right after it. You can select both zones to water at the same time but I don’t have enough water volume to do that. The activation process is a little puzzling. Why would they make a timer that needs to be ‘activated’? I wonder how long it’s going to work before it needs re-activating. Is it going to quit on me when I leave on vacation? Only time will tell if the RainPoint timer is a keeper or a waste of money.
